Gold, silver and bronze are Olympic language, so the Bronze game is correct only when it refers to an Olympic game.

Play off is a North American term for basketball, hockey, football and baseball. Play off means elimination, but there is no play off game for the third place. There are divisional and conference champions and then the national champion.
