In summer 1997 Hilton Theissen and Uwe Lübbers met for the first time. Not exactly knowing how to show each other their musical interests they started to play a game by creating a song. They added tracks by turns watching the growing cubase tree and recognizing that the different styles were building an interesting constellation of sounds.The idea of AKANOID was born. After 2 years of developing sounds, songs and at least the project´s name they got
signed to the record company Insolation / Zoomshot where they published two singles to finally get to their first album "Best Off".
