The GeForce 8 Series, or G80, will be the eighth generation of NVIDIA's GeForce graphics cards. Little is currently known about this series until an official announcement from NVIDIA.

Proposed specifications
Windows Graphics Foundation 2.0 (WGF 2.0), also known as Direct3D10 (DX10).
Support for Microsoft DirectX 10, and Shader Model 4.0.
PCI-Express compatible.

Rumors
48 Pixel pipelines might be implemented on the new series, or the series may increase the texture units to 32 in addition to the 48 pixel shaders.
The memory interface is said to be GDDR4 memory, although this new flagship card might feature XDR RAM
The series is also rumored to have fast memory and core clocks, and may be built on 80 nanometer technology.
Non-USA (Unified Shader Architecture).
