as though a lie--->as though it was a lie，as though一般是接从句，较少见接名词，接从句时必须用虚拟语气。

5、 The author uses many methods of art to enhance the story and impress the readers.
uses--->used,作者的行为是过去发生的，应该用过去时。

6、She repeatedly applies many motifs to the story, such as music, façade and breath that marks great feelings and impression on readers as they read her literature.
（1）applies--->applied,理由同5
（2）marks--->gave,留下深刻印象，一般不用mark，mark是做标记，而且一般指实物的标记；时态从主句。

why breath takes a major role in part of the story
takes--->plays,play a role是固定搭配

one is taking the story in heart and is resonating with the story as it goes.
（1）is taking--->will take，这里应该是将来时
（2）in heart--->in his heart,in heart 意味精神抖擞，情绪高昂，应该不是你所要表达的意思。
（3）is resonating--->will resonate,理由同（1）
（4）with the story--->with it,避免重复

In a nutshell, one has to be able to acknowledge the message transmitted in the art in order to see the value of it.
（1）acknowledge--->acquire,acknowledge是承认的意思，我觉得这里应该用“获得、认识到”比较妥当。（可斟酌？）
（2）in--->by，是否修改还是你决定。
