Why I wish to go to the US to study at College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati?I am a student from the Music Middle School Attached to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and I am also a young pianist.The idea of going to study in the US came from my Chinese piano teacher.She has been studied in the US and got the master degree there. She encouraged me to apply UC a half year ago.The College-Conservatory of Music of UC is one of the best music schools not only in the US but all over the world.After I decided to apply to it,I had the greatest honor to have the recommendation of Professor.Tomas Ungar,the piano professor in Music School of Texas Christian University in USA.When he came to the Music Middle School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music,he had listened to my play and like it very much.He recommended me to the professor in the College-Conservatory of Music of University of Cincinnati:Professor Eugene Pridonoff.Professor Pridonoff has been teaching piano at the College-Conservatory of Music of UC for over 25 years.He and his wife Elizabeth Pridonoff were appointed Duo-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 1986.He has also been recorded for the Vienna Modern Masters label and been appointed an International Steinway Artist in 2004.After listening to my play in his office before my audition,he told me that he likes my play very much and would love to work with me together in the future. He also said I'm so talented that he can help me get full scholarship in UC.This is the other good news for me.After the audition,I came back to China.Then I have been informed that I had been accepted to the College-Conservatory of Music,University of Cincinnati and got the scholarship 20,500$ every year from there.In addition, professor Pridonoff told me that I have won one of the two William D.Black Memorial Prizes in Piano.This is a $5,000 annual award that will be added to the other scholarship I have been given by the College-Conservatory of Music.What is my overall educational plan and goals?I will go to study as a Bachelor Degree student.It takes 4 years.After that,I think I will continue my study in the US for getting my Master Degree.I'm not only interested in piano performing but also the chamber music and the music education.I was born in a music environment.Both my aunt and her husband are musicians and teachers in Wuhan Conservatory of Music.Consider of the low standard of piano education in my hometown,Wuhan,I want to be a great piano professor in the future and come back to China to help improve our piano level.
