Recently, iridoviral epidemics have frequently occurred among cultured fish in Korea [15, 16]. Ten iridoviruses were isolated from four different species

最近，韩国饲养鱼类的虹彩病毒病频繁流行 [15, 16]。从韩国4种不同的饲养鱼类中分离出10种虹彩病毒，其中7个株系从横带石鲷 (石鲷科，石鲷属)中分离出来，1种从红海鲷(真赤鲷科，真鲷属)（俗名嘉腊鱼）中分离出来，1种从海鲈 (鮨科，花鲈属)中分离出来，1种从岩鱼(黑鲪)分离出来。目前的研究比较了虹彩病毒属的10种韩国株系以及一些蛙科病毒属、虹彩病毒属和淋巴囊肿病毒属的一些成员的主要衣壳蛋白（MCP）的氨基酸序列。数据表明，尽管上述10种虹彩病毒和真鲷虹彩病毒 （RSIV）日本株系及中国株系中那些引起脾脏和肾脏坏死的虹彩病毒属 (ISKNV)比较相近，并被化分为和已知属亲缘关系不太相近的一个属：韩国虹彩病毒属变株。
