这是作者17岁时写的一首思念家人的诗。

一个人在他乡做客，
孤单寂寞，每遇节日，见别人家欢聚一堂，就更思念亲人。
今天重阳节又到了，遥想登高的兄弟们，在插茱萸时少了我，
一定会难过的。

九月九日： 重阳节。
山东： 指华山以东地区，作者的故乡。
茱萸： 香味植物。古风俗重阳节插茱萸避灾疫。
