coldplay（酷玩）

从Coldplay的歌曲中经常能体会出一种忧郁的感觉，这是因为主唱注入了无限伤感情绪的原因，动人的嗓音唱着温柔的旋律。

Coldplay由四个二十岁出头的年轻小伙子组成，1996年时在UCL（University College London）四人相遇，两年后决定合组此乐团。

1998年4月在Chris同窗Phil（日后成为Coldplay的经纪人）的帮助下发行了仅500张的“Safty”限量EP。之后他们就开始了漂泊的音乐生命。同时他们也参加了业余乐团比赛，更由于这些公开表演的机会，使他们得以受到英国知名独立摇滚厂牌Fierce Panda的Simon Williams的高度赞誉，并进一步在Fierce Panda发表了单曲“Brothers & Sisters”。不久Coldplay便被Parlophone相中签约旗下，于1999年10月推出EP“The Blue Room”。

2000年在英国推出了他们的首张大《Parachutes 》(其中的fix you和yellow很不错），并且在推出之后成功登上了英国排行榜的榜首，凭借这张大牒，他们获得了3项Brit Award（相当于英国的格林美颁奖典礼）的提名。Coldplay所获得的提名包括Best British Group, Best British Album和Best British Newcomer.....
