TaiWan is a part of china,The international community has acknowledged the fact that Taiwan belongs to China,Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, 157 countries have established diplomatic relations with China. All these countries recognize that there is only one China and that the Government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government of China and Taiwan is part of China.

China has praised Bangladesh for sticking to the "One China" policy and its opposition to the "referendum" proposed by Taiwan authorities.Answering a question on whether Taiwan is to establish a representative office in Bangladesh, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Bangladesh has made it clear to the Chinese side that it will observe the "one China" policy which says Taiwan is part of China.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Morshed Khan has denied a report that Taiwan is to set up any office in the country. He also says the referendum to be held on the island is unreasonable and Taiwan should not be allowed to do so without the permission of the central government.
