I think most classmates have begun to work and some have had wives and children. I have also been working for some years. After some-year struggling in the society, I believe firmly that only knowledge and competence are the strong ensurance to exist in the society.
Communication with people is one of the most important methods to make innovation and wealth. Being a communicative opponent, one should spread the new culture, new technology, and new management ways to make you not be dropped out or drawn in the new society. However, the important tool of communication is language. In the process of the world’s changes, it forms various landforms and people of different colors. And different kinds of languages are then formed. Some people say that when you study another language, you will become cleverer, which I think is completely correct. When you are learning another language, your brain’s memory increases. What’s more, you will receive much cultural information of different countries, which can broaden your eyesight, can change your way to handle things, and can change your living habits. All of these fill your life as well as your wisdom. Of course, to learn another langure is not an easy thing. And I have this feeling after learning another non-native language.
Several years ago, after I entered a Japanese multiational cooperation, I received a Japanese training per the arrangement of the company. At the beginning, I feel that despite the complication of reverence voice, the regulations of pronounciation and grammar are very easy. Later, after I entered Forign Languages University because of my job and my interest in Japanese, I realized that language, as a long-history culture, is very hard to get in. First of all, to learn in a non-Japanese environment is more than difficult. And this requires the learner to find appropriate places and environments to study more. Secondly, you should pay more attention to personal emotion tendency. You should love it gradually in your study. Once you fall in love with it, you will surely yield twice the result with half the effort. Since I love Japanese, I watch Japanese programs everday. With the time goes by, my vocabulary becomes larger obviously. And I am eager to learning Japanese.
In learning a language, listening, reading, writing and translating are necessary. In the process of watching Japanese programs, not only that listening and translating got much practice, but also reading got coresponding help. As for speaking, you should speak more and don’t be afraid of making mistakes. As the saying goes “Failure is the mother of success.”. In your job, you have to speak Japanese when you contact with Japanese people more. Although you may make mistakes, they can still understand some, and they may give you corrections. This can not only reinforce what you have learnt before, but also make you more affinity. Speaking and writing, in my opinion, are going shoulder by shoulder. Most of the time, when you know how to speak, then you know how to write. Then translating is the last issue. Translating is the fully play of knowledge and skills that you have learnt. You have no other ways to improve your translating skill except for pratising more. I believe that it can be perfect throughout a deal of practice.
