为积极宣传和推广社会公共安全领域新技术、新产品，建立以科技为支撑的现代社会公共安全防范模式，努力提高社会安全防范意识和整体防范能力，促进新疆政治、经济、文化的协调发展，由新疆维吾尔自治区公安厅主办，新疆生产建设兵团公安局、乌鲁木齐市公安局、自治区公安厅交警总队和消防总队协办的“2006新疆第三届安全技术防范新产品新技术暨警用与消防新产品展览会”于2006年7月10日至7月12日在新疆国际博览中心（乌鲁木齐友好北路43号）举办。
展会定位为高规格、专业化、实用型技术交流和产品展示，展会内容包括反恐及安防技术建设和新型警务机制建设，以及公安信息化、指挥系统、侦查技术、交通管理、消防技术、治安防控和科技装备等项内容。届时，将邀请自治区各地州公安系统、兵团公安系统代表参观；反恐专家和警用技术等专家将举办专题讲座和座谈。展会宗旨在于强化我区社会公共安全防范体系建设，加强中外厂商技术、经验、信息交流和友好合作，推进安防产业市场健康发展，推动我区经济可持续发展。
