Minnie Ripton是一位非常天才的黑人女歌手，她有着8个高度音域的迷人嗓音，可惜上帝总是不愿意给那些有才华的人过多去展示的机会，Minnie在三十四岁的时候死于癌症~

这首非常有名的《Lovin' You》，也就成了她最为世人所称颂的歌曲~

这首歌曲收录在她的第二张个人专集里，是她与丈夫一起谱写的，深深的表达了她与丈夫对彼此爱情的珍惜和甜蜜！！

后来（我是指Minnie去世后），这首《Lovin' You》被很多女歌手所翻唱！

Shanice Wilson就是大家所熟悉的翻唱者之一，但我个人认为，她的翻唱也非常有味道的。

Mariah Carey在没有进入歌坛之前，给Sony唱片公司寄去的样带里也翻唱的是这首歌曲~

黑人女歌手Minnie Riperton拥有绝佳的歌喉，自幼学习声乐，高中开始涉足流行音乐。后来并由黑人巨星Stevie Wonder为其制作专辑《Perfect Angel》。

Loving you在1975年4月登上美国排行冠军，眼看着Minnie Riperton就要在歌坛平步青云，无奈造化弄人，不久她罹患癌症，1979年病逝于洛杉矶，享年方31岁，Loving you也成为她留给世人的绝响。
