We all know that many more people speak Chinese in the world than English .But Chinese is spoken little outside China.English is spoken in many countries,not only in the United Kingdom,the United States,Canada,Australia,New Zealand,but also in India,Singapore,the Philippines,Malaysia and some other places.English is the most widely used language in the world.There are about 750000000 English speakers in the world.
English is major language of nesw and infoemation in the world.It is the language of business and governament in some countries such as India.Even in countries where few people speak English on the street,people who work with tourists generally speak English,such as taxi drivers and shop assistants.
As we have seen,even though English does not have the greatest number of speakers in the world ,it is one of the most useful languages in the worls.English is just like a bridge between countries in the world.
