On the Hazards of Science

Car, telephone, TV, radio, computer and so on, which have deeply affected our livings today, are all the products of science. They supply the convenience and the comfort for modern living ways. The effect of science has been above the any times of human history. However, as people are enjoying the convenience bought by the science and are proud of the scientific achievements, the hazards of science are often ignored.

As we all see, people seem to do anything what they want to do. They may sent space flights to the space, may walk on the surface of the moon, and even may clone human self. There is an illusion that man can dominate the nature. So someone may utility the science and the technology to destroy the resources for filling their rapacity. And don’t concern the sustainable development of the nature. All lead to an awful result that human is killing himself.

Can human really become a god of the nature? It is so silly. People have obtained the bitter results that are brought by disobeying the natural rules. As we all know that the natural rules could not be created or be died out. They like a sword with two sides. It would bring better situations if following the rules. If not, it would bring tragedies.

In general, science contains great power. Nevertheless it is not a god. It may lead terrible tragedies and destroy the human being. How to utility it is the key serving the human. I think that the current ways benefiting to the human development is that the human being would respect the nature and build the concordant relation with it.
