1.A,uses to make 象是打错了。应为used to make，过去分词作定语。
2.thousand前应有不定冠词a。thousands几千，是名词。thousand of中thousand应加s成thousands of。故选D,a thousand
如果第一题的确是选A的话，那么应该是one后跟了一个省略了that的定语从句，use加s是用主动语态表被动意义。
use等动词的确有这种用法。
第二题则是习惯用语，只能靠记住。
