谓语就是Predicate 是句子的组成部分
比如: All the students had done their best中,had done是谓语动词,也可以认为had done their best是整个谓语语句.
有时,单独的谓语也可以做为独立的句子,如:
Stop!(停下!)
例句:barry hit the ball.
barry是subject.
hit the ball是 predicat.
the predicate is made up of two parts: hit and the ball. what was hit?the ball was hit.
the part of the sentence which is having something done to it, is called the object.to find the object ask who? or what? after the verb.
the sentence can now be divide up like this:
barry hit (hit what?) the ball
(subject) (verb) (object)
