ABSTRACT
Objective: This study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of Huamai Tincture for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced phlebitis in patients with malignant tumors.
Patients and Methods: Patients with malignant tumor who had developed drug-induced phlebitis after receiving chemotherapy were divided randomly into two groups. In group A, 120 patients were treated with HUAMAI TINCTURE cream, a topical Chinese medicine developed and produced by xxx (Note: put your department and university names here). In group B, 108 patients received topical treatment with 50% magnesium sulphate.
Results: Overall response rate in the group A (86.67%) was significantly higher than that in the group B (37.96%). No significant side effects were observed in the patients treated with Huamai Tincture cream.
Conclusion: This study demonstrates that Huamai Tincture cream is effective and well-tolerated for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced phlebitis in cancer patients.
