You can throw away these disposable spoons when you are done using them.（出自空中英语）此句中"are done"怎讲？为何不用have done?
"be done" is an idiomatic phrase, which has different meanings under different circumstances, e.g. useless, exhausted, and so on. As to which meaning, it depends on how u gonna comprehend the sentence in the context.
on the other hand, "have done" is awkward with the word "using" following it. Indeed, "using" sometimes can be used as a noun, but it's obviously a participle here. What do u think? :)
