early在这里修饰get up（动词词组）所以是副词（adv.）。副词的最高级前the可加可不加。形容词前（adj.）才必须加。

自己写时，最高级前一律加the——保证不错；
读句子或是填空时，要判断词性——
（1）副词修饰形容词、动词（v.）。如：
the most beautiful girl(副词最高级the most修饰形容词beautiful，其实这也就是beautiful的最高级)

（2）形容词修饰名词，一般前面有be动词。如：
