4.Yesterday was a special day to me. Because it was my birthday. I have a party at home with my friends. We played games and ate cakes. We were very happy. It's a special day and a happy day.

I sat near the window on the flight.

The middle and outer seats were occupied by two ladies busy
working on a business project.

They had papers unfolded on the food tray as they thrashed
through idea after idea in a mound of paper.

As the plane took off, one of their bags spilled its contents
under the seat.

They gathered the papers then asked the row behind us, "Does
anyone see any papers?" No one did.

They worked diligently during the entire flight while I watched
a movie on my computer. I worked on MountainWings for a while
and then took a break with the movie.

We were approaching the airport and everyone was gathering his
or her things.

When I went to Israel and Egypt, they clapped each time the
plane landed. The whole plane clapped. I thought that was
strange but that was in 1999. We used to take it for granted
landing safely.

Not anymore.

The two ladies began to put their papers back into their
respective bags.

"Where's my wallet?" the one sitting next to me murmured.

She dug deeper and more frantically as she searched for her
wallet. Her voice got increasingly louder and more desperate.

It wasn't in the bag.

"Oh my God, I've lost my wallet!" she exclaimed.

She remembered the spilled bag and asked the row behind us.

"Please check again and see if anything from my bag slid back
there, I can't find my wallet."

They looked more thoroughly this time.

She twisted and turned, the alarm rising in her voice at the
thought of no wallet.

It wasn't just money. You can't even get on a plane without a
picture ID, so she could be stuck at the airport between planes.

Finally, the man sitting on the aisle seat behind us said, "I've
got it, it is in front of my feet."

She breathed a tremendous sigh of relief and said, "It wasn't
much money in it but I sure needed it."

Her friend sitting next to her said,

"Today is your lucky day, you didn't lose your wallet."

It was a MountainWings Moment.

You see, I hadn't lost my wallet either. I patted my pocket to
make sure. It was resting comfortably in my front pocket.

There is something that happens when someone else goes through
something that makes you check yourself.

I had my wallet.

I said a silent "Thank You" prayer as the plane touched down.

We landed safely and I had my wallet plus many other things that
we don't think about until faced with their loss.

It was my lucky day too.
